The FreeLinc wireless system was engineered with tremendous safety features. Many of these safety features are not available with corded solutions.

RADIO ADAPTER SAFETY FEATURES:

• Off/On switch- Unlike corded accessories, which require the user to remove the adapter from their radio before the radio will work in normal mode, the FreeLinc adapter has an Off/On switch which allows the user to use their radio in normal mode without removing the adapter.
• User Indicator Light – An indicator light confirms to the user that their adapter is paired to a wireless accessory and is working properly.
• No batteries – The adapter does not require batteries and does not diminish the radio battery life in any significant way.

• Push-to-Talk Button (PTT) – The adapter has a PTT which allows the user another option for activating their accessory microphone. This enhances user safety by allowing the user to key their radio without requiring them to lift their arm, exposing potentially fatal areas not protected by a vest. Allows user to concentrate full attention on task by not having to divert sight.

• Auto Power-Off – the adapter does not require power-off by the user. Once the radio is turned off, the adapter automatically powers off.
• Auto Power-On – The adapter powers on automatically when the user powers on their radio.

• Automatic Pairing – Once the user initially pairs their accessory, and powers-up their radio and accessory, the adapter automatically reconnects with the accessory. Pair once, use continually.

• Non-RF – The adapter does not need an RF signal to connect to the accessory. Using near field magnetic induction provides enhanced sound quality, lack of interference issues and robust connectivity

• Digital Code Security – During pairing, the adapter exchanges a digital code with the accessory so it is impossible for another user to transmit/receive on that radio.
• Radio Push-to-Talk – Even with the FreeLinc adapter on the user’s radio (in the On or Off position), the user can always use the PTT on the radio to communicate out through their radio.

WIRELESS/CORDLESS ACCESSORY SAFETY FEATURES:

• No Cord – FreeLinc accessories have no cords or wires!! This tremendous safety feature eliminates the dangerous hazards of wires and cords that get tangled, snared, break, create tension at the radio and accessory connection point
• On-the-Go 4-second Pairing – Users can pair their accessory in 4 seconds or less.
• Battery Alert Tone – The user will get an escalating tone for low battery on their accessory.
• Battery Life – Using non-RF capabilities, accessories have extended battery usage.
  • Up to 50 hours on the FreeMic 200 cordless microphone
  • Up to 20 hours on the FreeMotion 200 wireless headset
• Lost Radio Distance/Power Alert Tones – Any time a connection in communication is lost, through distance or radio power down, alert tones will be heard by the user.
• Auto Off – The user is not required to power off the accessory. When the user’s radio is turned off, the accessory shuts off automatically after 2 ½ minutes. This is also accomplished by the user turning off their adapter.
• PTT On-Switch – The user simply depresses the PTT on the accessory and it is on and ready for use.
• Improved “Suit-Up” Time- The accessories do not require the user to run wires and cords through their clothes and body. Simply attach and go.
• Accessory Location – The user no longer determines the location of their accessory based on cord length. The FreeMic 200 speaker microphone can now be worn in the most comfortable and safety enhanced location. i.e. On front of the body would not require turning your neck, taking your eyes off the task at hand.
• Push-To-Talk Redundancy – Accessories and radio adapter have PTT’s.
