"For the past several months, I have been using this device (FreeMotion 100 with Wireless Remote Push to Talk) in the field. My primary duty assignment is in surveillance. The earpiece works awesome and I've had no trouble with other members of my unit hearing me just fine. As you may recall, I was less than impressed with my previous product (FreeMotion 200) that I had from your company.

I would have to say that my opinion has changed greatly."

"I want to take the time to express my experience with customer service contact, Julia Johnson. Julia went out of her way and beyond the necessary to make me a lifetime customer of FreeLinc by helping me with my purchasing process instead of just blowing me off and moving on to another customer.

She kept me in mind by being patient and understanding. Most importantly, she kept in mind that I was in dire need of the equipment and help. That alone amazed me. She stepped out of the box by helping a LEO by quickly shipping me the tools to help me do my job.

Hope and wish all good things to such a professional person."

"As a fire captain I have been using the FreeMic 200 for nearly two years now in every emergency situation you can imagine. I has performed very well. But I wanted to tell you about what happened two days ago. I accidentally dropped the mic as I was getting out of a type three engine on a good sized grass fire. Not knowing that I had dropped it, I did not have a chance to go back and look for it until the fire was over. I eventually found it in the middle of our engine's tire track. It had been driven down into the dirt until the face of the mic was even with the ground. The good news is that it still works as good as ever, even after having been run over by a FIRE TRUCK!! Thanks for a great product."

"I am still using m FreeMic 200 wireless mic on patrol. The unit has been in use since its release (approximately 5+ years). The battery on the unit still lasts fifty hours before it needs charging. I am pleased to say that the unit has performed beyond expectation. I've been in numerous foot pursuits and "hands on" encounters to find the mic still attached to my uniform. I work in a department of 50+ patrol officers for the City of Las Vegas as a Deputy City Marshal. Out of those officers, I know of four of us that currently use the mic. Thank you for representing such a good and reliable product that I can't do without."

"I just wanted to let you and your fellow co-workers know how pleased I am with the FreeMic 200. Since owning the FreeMic 200 I have experienced nothing but clear sound and transmissions with your product. Due to the clear sound I have made it through several shifts without having to change my radio's battery from turning up the volume on traditional heavy corded shoulder mics. In the past I've had corded shoulder mics get caught up on several items and the FreeMic 200 eliminates this problem. The FreeMic 200 is extremely easy to use, durable, and is a much needed convenience for Law Enforcement Officers. I highly recommend this product to any Law Enforcement Officer who is looking for a high quality product with Officer Safety in mind. I will continue to use our products for years due to the dependability of your products and superior customer service."

Thank you,

"As a volunteer Fire Police officer in Pennsylvania, I have come to depend upon my FreeLinc system. Not getting tangled in the speaker mic cord makes my life easier and safer. And when the adapter failed I was heartbroken. I then called FreeLinc and I had the good fortune of speaking with Julia Johnson in your customer relations department. Julia was able to determine that the problem could not be solved on site, and she generously extended my warranty to two months to cover the replacement. She also sent me a replacement FreeMic 200, as my old one might not pair with the new adapter. I want to commend Julia for her amazing level of customer service. You guys make an excellent product."

"I would like to start off by saying the men and women at Freelinc are very professional and very accommodating. They are an asset to this company. I have been using a Freelinc Mic #200 for the past year. The wireless system is great. I am a uniform Police Officer in patrol and with all the equipment we are required to wear, it is great not to have wires running through your uniform shirt. What I like most about the Mic is the retention clip. I have chased and fought with suspects and the Mic did not budge. This is a wonderful product. I recommend the Freelinc wireless Mic to everybody."

"I would like to say the FreeLinc System is a must for patrol officers. During a struggle with a suicidal subject who had a loaded .357 magnum, the strap for my radio came loose and my radio fell off my nylon gear. My radio was lying approximately 4 feet from me and I still was able to transmit our location and update arriving units with my cordless FreeLinc FreeMic 200. If this had been a typical radio and attached paddle MIC configuration, my ear piece, cord and radio would have been ripped out and possibly unable to transmit our location. My FreeMic 200 System stays charged longer than my radio and the reception is clear. The flexibility and freedom of this equipment cannot be matched. I don't know how you could make anything better!!!"

"I have used the FreeMic 200 for several years for wilderness medical response in many different situations - rain, snow, heat, and cold and have never had any problems with the system. Being free from the hassle of cords is a major benefit in providing medical assistance in mountainous situations. The battery in the microphone is long-lasting, the audio quality is excellent, and the on-microphone volume adjustment is very convenient.

In addition to an outstanding product, the customer service provided is absolutely top notch! After several years of use, the clip on the back of the mic broke and needed replacement. Customer Service provided me prompt, accurate, and excellent service in order to get the microphone quickly repaired. FreeLinc has a top quality product and a Customer Service department to match. Thanks so much!"

"Several months ago I purchased on of your mics and all I can say is WOW!!! I am by no means a "gadget guy" and having a been a police officer for over 13 years, I pretty much have all the equipment I need. But, I am so thankful I got the wireless mic and earpiece.

About a year ago, I was involved in a pretty serious fight. During the struggle, the suspect ripped my old (corded) mic off my uniform causing it to break at the base of the radio rendering my entire unit worthless. Lucky for me that night I had a partner. Shortly after another officer approached me in my department who had already purchased your mic. He showed me all the benefits (smaller, concealable, lightweight, etc.) of the wireless mic and earpiece and I was sold!!!

I wear my new mic under my shirt. I had a small strip of cloth sewn onto my vest and wear it there every shift. Even though it's under the shirt, there are no transmission problems, even during foot pursuits. Tried and true!

I cannot thank you enough for your product. I hope the word gets out!

"I am an Officer in Utah. I have been using a FreeLinc product for over two years now. I am currently using the FreeMotion 100. This has been a great product. I like the compact size and sound quality. It is nice not to have to deal with a lapel mic and acoustical tubes or other wired systems. I have used this product in a variety of weather conditions including rain and snow and the system has maintained its quality. Every one on my shift has a FreeLinc system and it is great when on scene with multiple officers and the public, suspects and victims cannot hear the radio traffic. With my first system I had a piece break while working. I called Dewey to get a new unit. His customer service was marvelous. He sent me a new unit to replace the broken one. I received it in a few days at no cost to me. I would recommend FreeLinc products to anyone who wants a system that works, has no wires, and has stealth ability. "

"My supervisor of the Honolulu Police Department, Crime Reduction Unit, purchased approximately five wireless (FreeMotion 100) ear pieces from you in anticipation for President Obama's visit to the islands. Our unit was assigned to support Secret Service and their tactical units while the president visited here. I only mention this because the ear pieces we used proved to be extremely useful out on the field as far as stealth and communication. We also received numerous inquiries from Secret Service personnel regarding the equipment and in turn suggested they look up your website for additional information. The point is, the Officers using your equipment are more than satisfied and use them every working day on various operations including search warrants, buy busts, and surveillance. In fact, I personally can't imagine fulfilling my duties without your equipment."

"I am a Law Enforcement Park Ranger with Washington State Parks. This has me heavily involved with all aspects of Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, and SAR. This is done by car, boat, bike, and foot in the forest, rural, and saltwater/marine environments.

This is the easiest system I have ever used and I don't have the issues with cords or wires anymore. With the FreeMic 200, I can set my radio in a place that is dry on the boat, and still have full transmission capabilities while operating it. The FreeMic 200 holds a charge and can last me my entire work-week before recharging and then some if I need it to for extensive call-outs.

I really like the Push-To-Talk button that is mounted onto my hand-held radio. I am able to keep my hands at the ready, near the tools on my duty belt, and hit the PTT to talk to other officers or Dispatch during a contact. This keeps me ready to respond to anything, without getting caught off-guard with my hand up at my lapel.

I have used the FreeMic 200 with the FreeLinc Ultra Light Custom Earpiece for over a year now, and it's the best I've ever used. It does not completely seal my ear shut with the gel insert like others do, so I am able to still hear about 90% of what is going on around me, as well as all of my radio traffic. This is critical for my duties so that I can narrow down where trouble may be lurking in the dark, woods, water, or campgrounds. The volume control on the lapel mic is great too so that I can regulate how loud that is during a contact, or while on the boat, without having to mess with the radio.

Outside of the gun on my hip, FreeLinc has been the most vital piece of equipment that I have on my belt."

Thanks so much!

"I went to deploy stop sticks to end a pursuit that was entering into our county. The stop sticks were deployed and the vehicle ran over them. I pulled the stop sticks off of the road and went to catch up to the pursuit that was now into our county. I was requested to take the pursuit over and became the primary unit and the other out of county units discontinued. As I was involved in this, I heard something banging outside of my car. I looked out my mirror and saw my stop sticks were dragging along my car. I thought they were caught in my car door and I opened it slightly to let them go. When I did this, my mic cord pulled down and at that time I found my mic cord was tangled in the stop stick cord. I ended up having to untangle the stop stick cord from my mic cord. I was able to do this and continue with the pursuit.

After that incident, I quit wearing my mic cord and began looking into getting something cordless. I learned of the FreeLinc system from other officers. They gave me great reviews of the system and I decided to purchase one. I am sure that I will be happy with the system and it also enhances my officer safety by not having to worry about a mic cord getting tangled up on things or wrapped around parts of my body during a struggle."

Thanks much,

"I've had the FreeMic 200 since May 2010 and it's been great. It connects easily and maintains its charge all week long. I keep it attached to the middle of my uniform for officer safety, since it has the rubber grip I don't have to worry about it falling down even after a run. I have lots of officers looking and asking questions about it. I would recommend this product to anyone who does not want a cord hanging around their body. FreeLinc has great customer service and Dewey Garner has been very helpful and fast with emails and shipping. Thanks to everyone at FreeLinc for making such a great product."

"I have been using the FreeMic 200 System for over a year and what a tactical advantage it has been. I use the FreeMic 200 with an earpiece and when getting involved in a tactical situation, it's ideal. I have been in numerous foot pursuits, tactical searches, and altercations and the FreeMic 200 System has never let me down. It keeps a charge for about 50 hours and the clarity is better than anything I have ever used. Lightweight and not having to worry about a cord getting wrapped around you in a fight is great.

The customer service and knowledge of the products at FreeLinc is outstanding!! Thanks Dewey, for making ordering and any question I might have easy."

"I've owned my FreeMic 200 for over 18 months. I had previously gone through three different wired mic setups and they just can't stand up to the rigorous activity of patrol and working a K-9 without breaking down. There was always the issue of the time spent getting the wire set up every day when getting dressed, or modifying clothing for the wire to fit.

Buying the FreeMic eliminated all of the hassle of putting the gear together and keeping it all in working order. The adapter hooked into my Motorola radio without issue and is solidly attached. I attach the FreeMic directly to my vest on my shoulder and the ear wire works perfectly. The clip is strong enough to keep it in place without moving around or coming loose. The FreeMic unit has lasted me through my regular shifts to almost fifty hours before needing to be recharged and only takes about three hours to be charged and ready for the next day.

I originally bought the FreeMic as a K-9 Handler and it has been invaluable. Once, while tracking a suspect through heavy brush and trees down a hill, my radio came out of the holster. I had only gone about five feet when my FreeMic started to started to "beep" at me, letting me know I had lost the wireless connection. I was able to stop and locate the radio immediately before going a hundred feet without knowing, saving the time and effort to go back.

The FreeMic has worked without issue since buying it."

"I am writing you this letter to express my appreciation, in regards to the high quality products and the service I have received from your company. I purchased the FreeMic 200, a wireless system made by FreeLinc, in the spring of 2004. Since that time, I have used this product on patrol, and in an undercover capacity. Your product has been nothing short of phenomenal.

I have yet to experience any problems with the FreeMic 200. The reception through the wireless system is clear and precise. The FreeMic 200 has performed exceptionally well for past five years, regardless of the weather conditions. My department works 12 hour shifts, and I have been impressed with the battery system implemented in your products. I have yet to have a battery fail during my shift, after a full charge.

During the past five years, the only items I have needed have been new ear pieces. Your company has been fully accommodating with my needs, and delivery for these items has been very fast. FreeLinc has been a wonderful company to work with. I have recommended FreeLinc products to co-workers and associates, whom have had the same impressive experiences with your product.

The FreeMic 200 wireless system is worry free, convenient, easy to use and the quality is unsurpassed. I would highly recommend the FreeMic 200 to anyone working in a law enforcement position."

"My name is Deputy Scott Sylvester, a 10 year veteran of the Alameda County Sheriff's Office and I love my FreeLinc wireless mic and radio. I want to encourage you to get one too! This has got to be one of the greatest tools available to the beat cop. For about $200 you can pick up the wireless transmitter and mic/speaker with ear piece.

The speaker/mic has an internal battery and is rechargeable. The Sheriff's Office patrol stations work rotating days with up to four, 12 hour shifts in a week. I can charge my FreeLinc speaker/mic and it will last all 48 hours of my work week. Typical charge time is 6-8 hours. The speaker/mic is waterproof, and deputy proof as it has been dropped several times and still works like a charm.

Prior to the FreeLinc, I had to deal with the wire running from the base unit to the speaker. No matter how I set up my equipment, the wire was always in the way and uncomfortable. Since we have a large county, the speaker/mic would not transmit as strongly as the base unit, so I grew accustomed to pulling out the radio, untangling myself from the wire and talking, only to have to move the wire again to get the radio back onto my belt holder. It was annoying and when I wore an earpiece up under my shirt, I could not pull the radio out to talk at all. Also, having that wire running behind my shoulder, I was constantly worried about someone using the wire to choke me during an altercation.

I am happy to say I am wireless now with FreeLinc! Comfortable, safe and able to communicate with the base unit and speaker/mic without untangling! Another feature I love is the push to talk button on the wireless transmitter. While holding a suspect at gun point, I can look straight over my sights, key the mic with the PTT button and speak over the mic with crystal clarity.

Though I've said several good things about the product...I have to say even better things about the company. FreeLinc's customer services has been outstanding! I had a wireless speaker/mic for about a year when one day after a charging cycle, it would not turn on. I called the company and they sent me a brand new one OVERNIGHT! I was 10-8 again within a day and have had no problems since. I couldn't believe they stood behind their product and even a year later, replaced the defective mic with no questions asked. Did I mention they sent it overnight?

I highly recommend the FreeLinc system. I encourage my partners to buy them and I want to encourage you to buy them too! It is worth the cost, and will be the best product that actually works that you've bought in a long time!"

"I had just received my Freelinc system some months before this incident. I don't remember the exact date, but it was about spring time in 2007. It was about 6:30 in the morning and I contacted a male subject "passed out" on the side of the road in his truck. The subject was still intoxicated and was not happy about being arrested. Needless to say he did not want to go peacefully.

The confrontation became physical and my Freelinc mic was pulled from my shirt as I was placing the subject on the ground. The wireless mic fell under the violator, but still remained tethered to my ear by the earpiece (I could still hear the radio traffic). While under the violator, and as I was attempting to handcuff the subject, the mic was being pushed against the ground causing it to transmit. My dispatchers could hear the confrontation and help was sent. Once the subject was detained I picked up my mic and put it back onto my shirt. I still use the same setup to this day (November 09') and have never had a problem with it.

Thanks Freelinc for a great product. Not to mention that there is no thick radio wire to be choked with."

"I enjoyed speaking with someone as down to earth and straight forward as you were the other day. I received the order before expected and it works great. The new wireless mic and adapter are perfect. I've used the mic for three shifts now, thirty hours, and it hasn't needed to be charged yet. County Communications hasn't asked me to repeat anything I've said over the set and for the size and terrain of the area I patrol this shows a quality product.

I am extremely happy with the purchase of the wireless system and have been passing along your information when asked how I like the setup by co-workers. Doing away with the coiled cord across my back not only saves me aches and pains, but truly is an "Officer Safety" must."

"I am a Police Officer for the Northlake Police Department in the State of Texas. I purchased a FreeLinc FreeMic 200 in 2007. At the time I was using a standard radio mic. I was always fighting with the placement of the cord and concerned about the cord being wrapped around my head during a fight. I saw the FreeMic being used by one of the local Police Officers in my area. Now the FreeMic has become one of my most valuable pieces of equipment. It is extremely reliable with no interruptions with the link between the radio and the mic. I believe that it has also greatly improved Officer Safety for me because it has taken away the cord that could be used to strangle me. I have used the FreeMic in all weather conditions and situations. The FreeMic has been one the best products I have purchased. I would like to say that the customer service at FreeLinc is extraordinary. All of my questions and concerns have been answered quickly and with excellent outcomes. By far, FreeLinc has stood by their products and has delivered exactly what they say their products are."

"My wife purchased my FreeLinc radio system for me as a Valentine's Day gift several years ago and I have been meaning to send this to your company to express my fondness of this product.

I am a Deputy Marshal for the City of Fort Worth, in Fort Worth, Texas, and am now assigned to our City Hall Protection Detail, which consists of working all access control points in and around our municipal building, as well as working all City Council Meetings. What I like the best about my FreeLinc is the absence of the coiled radio cord, which in my opinion limits the placement of a shoulder mic in a comfortable location; not to mention the officer safety issue involved with one less thing to grab hold of in a struggle. Prior to my assignment to City Hall, I was a Warrant Deputy in the field and the use of the earpiece made this so much safer and easier to hear dispatch advise me of wants and returns, without the violator hearing radio traffic and easier for me to hear while on the side of any busy metropolitan roadway. When I first received my mic, I had a problem with my earpiece and when I called the customer support number, I was greeted very politely and after explaining my problem, was advised that a new earpiece would be shipped out no later than the next business day and to keep my old earpiece for parts if needed. I believe in this product so much, I have decided to become a dealer and get other Deputies on board with what I think is the best move in police communications in years."

"I am writing to tell you of my recent experience with Renata Hadden. This year marks my 28th year in law enforcement, and as you might imagine, I have had my share of contacts with customer and service representatives from various equipment manufacturers. I currently own a FreeMic which I bought from your company in December, 2007. It has proven to be one of the, if not the, best pieces of equipment I have ever purchased. Recently, the adapter stopped working. When I called in I reached Renata, who was very helpful. She got the necessary paperwork out to me via e-mail within a couple of hours to expedite the process. Unfortunately, there was a slight mix-up with UPS. But, Renata and I got the mailing problems straightened out and I got everything back in an amazingly short period of time. Throughout this process Renata was always very helpful and always replied quickly to any questions I had.

I wanted you to know that Renata was easily the most helpful and pleasant representative I have ever had to deal with when sending in equipment for repairs or exchanges. Many company employees will go out of their way to sell you something, but when it comes to repairs they quickly lose interest. I want to express my appreciation to Renata, as well as to you and your company, for the professional, and the friendly, manner in which my situation was handled. If all of your employees are of the same caliber as Renata, then you have a truly outstanding organization. Please convey to her my appreciation for her first-rate assistance."

"I have been using my FreeMic 200 (with the FreeLinc Ultra Light Custom EP) for about 18 months now. I am completely and totally satisfied and impressed with the system. The light weight, ease of use and sound quality are amazing.

My department's jurisdiction is mostly suburban and rural with some heavily wooded areas and farm land. There have been numerous times, during my 28 years in law enforcement, that I have had my corded mics ripped away by obstructions (or by disagreeable persons on their way to jail) leaving me to search for my mic somewhere near my feet. With the FreeMic 200, I do not have a cord dangling from my uniform to hang up on branches, barbed wire, or to be grabbed by resistive / combative subjects, which greatly increases my safety on the job. The clip on the FreeMic 200 is sturdy and I've not had it come off my uniform yet.

Yet another benefit of the FreeMic 200 is the freedom to mount the mic anywhere I choose. I am right handed but left "eyed" so wearing the corded mic on the normal left shoulder position interfered with my ability to utilize a long gun. The alternative was to stretch the cord across my back to the right shoulder, which was at times uncomfortable. The FreeMic 200 lets me comfortably wear the mic on my right shoulder. The PTT mounted on the radio adaptor allows me to use my left hand to transmit, without having to reach across my body. The battery life is great. One 6 hour charge at the beginning of the week is all it takes to get me through 4 - ten plus hour shifts.

We also have a military airbase in our county. The FreeLinc Ultra Custom EP helps me to hear important communications when operating in the high noise zones as well as keeping those transmissions private when contacting "bad guys" or operating in areas where I want to reduce my noise signature. It is very well made, lightweight and comfortable. I sometimes forget I am wearing it.

One of my big things is "customer service." More than a couple of times, I have walked away from a purchase because of lousy customer service. At FreeLinc, you are treated very well. After almost a year I had a small issue with my mic. I called Customer Service and had my problem dealt with in a quick and professional way. I sent my mic back, at no cost, and within a week I had a brand new, upgraded unit. Every one of my contacts with FreeLinc, from my initial inquiry about the product, to my original and follow up purchases have been friendly and personable. Thank you to both Renata and Dewey. You have earned a customer for life."

"I have to say that I have tried many things to make my job a lot easier or safer. Some have worked but some have not. FreeLinc was one of the things that worked. I am also very pleased with the quality of the FreeLinc; the sound quality is better than other radio attachments I have used."

"After using my FreeMic 200 for about two months now, I am VERY impressed and happy with the system. The FreeMic lasts an entire work week without needing to be recharged and offers GREAT sound clarity and simple set up.

I really like the safety and convenience of having a lapel microphone with a strong clip that doesn't come dislodged from the uniform shirt, even during physical confrontations. That, added to the wireless aspect make this the best system I've tried. The FreeMotion headset is perfect for undercover operations; I can sit in a car or walk about and speak into my radio all the while appearing as if I'm simply on a cell phone headset.

This FreeLinc system really is the best all around system for both uniformed and undercover work and well worth the money! And the added bonus is the EXCELLENT customer service they provide! Thanks for making a system that incorporates both safety and convenience!"

"I love the FreeLinc FreeMic 200 system! I bought it along with the FreeLinc Ultra Light Custom EP ear piece for patrol/task force use. I carry the mic on my left shoulder and it feels so light without the bulky cord weighing it down. With a normal handset, the cord is either worn so tight that it restricts movement, or it is so loose that it flops around and catches on things. I have tried lapel microphones in the past, but the cords on them were cheap and flimsy, and required running them under my shirt to keep from snagging on everything and breaking. Even then, they wore out quickly. The big feature of those systems was a quick-release from the handset. That usually broke quickly as well. The FreeMic 200 has none of those problems.

The Ultra Light Custom EP is the best ear piece accessory that I have ever used. Previous ear piece sets had a problem with kinking at the clear plastic part, causing a loss of sound. I was always reaching up and adjusting the tube just to be able to hear. The acoustic tube on the Ultra Light system is designed so that kinking does not happen. The capacitor in other systems would also wear/short out, requiring me to return/replace the entire unit. The Ultra Light EP does not have this problem either.

Besides not having the same weaknesses as other devices, the FreeMic system has its own strengths that are incomparable. The handset itself lasts all week long between charges, even when I put in some overtime. At the end of the week, I plug it in and it is ready to go for my next shift. It is extra-durable and water resistant. This thing can take me through storm after storm and it keeps on working. The volume control is easy to use both with and without the ear piece attached. There is also a piece of rubber inside the clip that grips my shirt like alligator teeth. This handset is not going to fall off, no matter how much running, jumping, fighting, etc. I happen to put it through.

This is the best system that I have ever used and will continue to use.

FreeLinc has made a customer for life. Their products are superior, and their customer service is second-to-none."

"I am a happy user of both a FreeMic 200 and FreeMotion 200. I started with the FreeMic 200 and found it very useful in my day to day operations and for use during command of incidents. Not having a cord attached to the mike allowed me carry the radio with me more often, and maintain better situational awareness of what was happening in my battalion. During command of incidents, having the mic on my collar vastly improved my ability to communicate. The battery life is phenomenal. I charge the unit a couple of times a month, and have never had the battery die on me. Customer service and technical support has been very good and responsive to any questions or issues I have had.

After having used the FreeMic 200 for a while, and proving to myself how well it worked for me, I purchased a FreeMotion 200 to further enhance my use of the technology. The FreeMotion 200 is comfortable on the ear and brings the same reliability and battery life I enjoyed with the FreeMic 200. Now I am able to hear radio communications without the interference of the ambient noise around me at the command post. I am now more confident in being able to hear radio communications while commanding complex incidents in noisy environments. The FreeMotion 200 also allows me to monitor radio traffic while in meetings or at public events without impacting those around me.

The use of the FreeMic 200 and the FreeMotion 200 have greatly enhanced my ability to in my day to day operations and to command complex incidents. Radio communications are almost always an issue in incident command and the FreeLinc products help solve some of those issues. I am confident you could have the same experience I have had."

"While working as a Police Officer I've been using the FreeMic 200 with the FreeLinc Ultra Custom Ear Piece for about four months. The earpiece is very well designed and fits perfectly in my ear. The earpiece itself allows you to hear ambient noise like people talking around you, and still hear the radio traffic at the same time. While using the FreeMic with the wireless microphone, I did not have to worry about the cord that attaches to the radio and I was able to place the microphone where I wanted to on my uniform. I would highly recommend both products."

"Just recently, I acquired the FreeMic 200. I work at a busy airport in which the noise level makes it extremely difficult to hear the radio. Needless to say this turns into a safety issue, should one of my fellow companions need assistance. I must admit that at times I have missed calls or important transmissions because of the noise level. Well, I no longer have to worry about this type of problem ever happening again. This wireless mic system is not only unobtrusive, it is also convenient. Besides the mic, I also have the FreeLinc Ultra Light Custom Ear Piece. I was amazed as to how comfortable this ear piece is. It feels like you do not have anything in your ear and unlike a regular earphone that obstructs your ability to hear from the particular ear you may have it in, you can still hear everything that is around you with the Ultra Light Ear Piece.

I would like to finally add that the customer service and support that you get from this company is unbelievable. I was having trouble linking the adapter with the mic and with a charger. The representatives, Dewey Garner and Diane Wiley, left me with a new meaning to customer service. I cannot find the words to describe how helpful they and everyone from their company were. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG IN PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY OR REPRESENTATIVES.

With sincere thanks and gratitude."

"I have been highly impressed with FreeLinc products. I started with the FreeMotion 200 and went to the FreeMic 200. Both are excellent products and I have never experienced any problems with them. Here are some "police" selling points for your products:

  • I leave my hand-held radio on the entire shift. Since I have an earpiece in my ear, I never have to worry about turning on or off the radio, or causing "feedback" when I transmit on my patrol car radio after forgetting to turn off the hand-held.

  • When I transmit on my patrol car radio, I can hear my self speaking through my earpiece, which lets me know if I am speaking clearly. Also, when I'm transmitting, I can also hear if someone else is transmitting, allowing me to stop.

  • While in vehicle pursuits or high stress situations, again, I can hear myself and realize if I am speaking to fast, loud, etc.

  • Building searches and surveillance operations are excellent because it allows the ultimate in stealth.

  • Bad guys being detained and sitting right in front of me can't hear what is being said to me by other officers about the bad guys.

"Please accept this letter expressing my satisfaction with your product, the FreeMotion Wireless Headset System. I have been using your product now for several years and I am grateful for having it.

"This system truly provides great technology for law enforcement services. As an officer on the street, my headset allows me the freedom of listening to clear communications while maintaining confidentiality of traffic, without interference from surrounding sounds or cords attached to my portable radio. My hands are free to complete other tasks while still maintaining private communication with dispatchers and other officers on the street. These capabilities allow for performing duties effectively.

This product is an asset for anyone using radio communication as part of their everyday work functions."

"I would like to just let you know about my complete satisfaction with the FreeMotion 200 headset and the service provided by the FreeLinc Company. Several months ago, I purchased the FreeMotion headset and Adapter for my Motorola HT1000. Since then, I have been in several physical confrontations and although the headset came with a leash, it has not been utilized, as the headset never became dislodged. I work in a city that is known for its wind and the communications are clear even in moderately windy conditions. I also want to thank you for your professional service and follow up phone calls after the purchase. You and your company have demonstrated a genuine concern for the performance of your products and safety of those using them."

"It is my sincere pleasure to do a testimonial for the FreeLinc products I have ordered. I can't thank you enough for the ear pieces and it just amazes me how customer friendly your company is, especially in this day and age. It was definitely a pleasure to do business with your company in the past and it continues to be so to this date.

I work for a small police agency in Central Texas. At the time I ordered your product I worked for a very busy Sheriff's Office. Our shifts consisted of twelve hours and we only had three officers on each shift patrolling the entire county. Your radio was definitely your lifeline if you needed assistance, as your backup is probably at least twenty or more minutes away.

In October of 2007, I originally ordered the FreeMotion 200 Wireless Headset. While I loved the concept of this product, I soon realized it was a little bulky for standard patrol work. I contacted the Customer Service Department at FreeLinc by email and explained the situation. I was told FreeLinc would credit me a full refund towards the purchase of a FreeMic 200, no questions asked. I ordered the FreeMic 200 with the Ultra Light ear piece and I received the FreeMic 200 before I even had a chance to send the FreeMotion 200 back. This is an example of true Customer Service at its best. The FreeMic 200 with the Ultra Light Custom ear piece is wonderful as you can hear your radio traffic in noisy environments and when you're out with a subject that comes back wanted they can't hear the returns. I feel it has made a dangerous job a little safer. I realize it does cost a little more than other systems up front, but how much is your safety worth? Believe me; the quality you get with this product is better than any other I've seen. The radio traffic is crystal clear and the time it takes for transmitting and receiving radio traffic is just as fast as a wired system, there is no delay at all.

The reason I ordered the FreeMic Wireless Microphone System in the first place is there is no cord to get tangled up in the seatbelt while exiting the patrol car in a hurry or while you're wrestling with a suspect. The microphone clips to your shirt really well and it has never come off of my shirt. I'm very happy with my FreeMic 200 and have gladly recommended these products to other people in my line of work. A few people from other agencies have even order the FreeMic 200 after seeing mine in use."

"I have used the FreeLinc mic and FreeMotion headset for approximately two years now. I have found it to be an excellent set-up to use. It has provided me with a cordless alternative and I feel better officer safety in the long term, as there is always the possibility that the regular corded mic can be used as a choking device on an officer. I have recommended this product to countless officers who have inquired about it after seeing it attached to my epaulette with no cord. They seem very excited about this type of technology.

The FreeMotion headset is another great product to use when you are working a large and noisy crowd detail. I have found it to be especially effective when working large sporting events where all the noise prohibits an officer from clearly hearing radio transmissions.

I would happily recommend these products to any officer who is actively working in a uniform or non-uniform capacity. The ability to be somewhat covert in your radio transmissions is another great option. The mic is small enough to fit comfortably in your hand and from a short distance may appear as a cell phone, giving the advantage of not having a long coiled cord attached.

I also have to mention the Customer Service that has been provided by the company. Anytime that I have called about something I have been treated respectfully and had my questions answered quickly and fully. They are up to date on all the types of radios that my department uses and can quickly diagnose solutions.

As I have stated, this is a great alternative and I know several officers who made the change and are happy they did."

"In the law enforcement community, technology and progress often lag behind civilian consumers who may not be constrained by the limited resources of tax-provided budgets. Applicable advances in technology have been ignored due to cost or begrudgingly integrated into common, everyday use by skeptical or untrusting administrators. For example, I wrote reports in almost the identical manner (pen and paper) for almost 40 years before computers became the technology of choice for reports and so much more. Progress is painstakingly slow.

In the mid-1960's portable radios were only a "wish list" item for most departments. As portable radios became the "norm" in law enforcement, cruiser-based communications slowly assumed a secondary role. Portable radios, even the early models, were a technological "leap" over previous means of communication. Once an officer completed the necessary "modifications" (usually high-tech rubberbands) to insure the corded microphone didn't separate from the uniform shirt velcro patch and entwine around legs during a foot chase or physical confrontation, all was well. Various microphone adaptations included a coiled cord, stretching the cord across the officer's back to keep it out of the way, and cliping the mic low on the front of the uniform shirt as a means of "cord control." I lived with those damn cords for 35 years, wondering why someone didn't invent a better technology.

Finally, someone did. FreeLinc, of Salt Lake City, Utah has come up with the perfect solution to mic cord madness. The FreeLinc FreeMic 200 is a WIRELESS speaker-microphone adaptable to a wide range of manufactured radios. An AC power adapter connects effortlessly to my Motorola XTS 5000 portable radio. Once the FreeMic and the adapter are linked or paired, it's business as usual, except that I am no longer tripping over a microphone cord! Transmission/reception clarity is excellent and the FreeMic works just like a corded microphone but without the inherent drawbacks of a cord. But it gets even better. FreeLinc also offers the FreeMotion 200 Wireless Headset, which uses the same power adapter as the FreeMic 200 but replaces the FreeMic with an over-the-ear style headset. The FreeMotion Headset takes a little getting used to in terms of having an object stuck in your ear for 8 hours a day. However, the convenience is nothing short of fantastic. The FreeMotion does not give the same audio clarity of the FreeMic, but is well within acceptable tolerances.

FreeLinc has provided state-of-the-art communications technology to law enforcement at a very reasonable and affordable cost. I highly recommend the FreeLinc 200 and the FreeMic 200 as a permanent alternative to conventional corded microphone communications."

"The Wheat Ridge SWAT team has been using the FreeLinc wireless headset system for the past year. Operators, negotiators and commanders have all found the system to be simple, effective and reliable in a tactical environment. We typically work in close proximity to one another during operations and have experienced no bleed over between units. The wireless capability has saved operators from catching connecting wires on fences, furniture and other hazards typically faced during operations. Touching the earpiece to transmit is easy, intuitive and reduces inadvertent transmissions.

Team commanders and negotiators have found the FreeLinc system to be beneficial. The negotiations team and commanders frequently work out of vans or buses that contain several people involved in the decision making process of an operation. These staff members have found the FreeLinc system to be particularly helpful in high-noise environments, as they are able to hear their radios directly through their earpieces, rather than relying on an external speaker.

Overall, we have been quite pleased with the FreeLinc system, both the equipment and service received."

"I purchased the FreeMic 200 approximately 2 years ago. I work in a very large Police Department, we answer over 500,000 calls of service a year. So from the time I call in service, until my tour of duty is over I am constantly receiving dispatched assignments on my radio. On daily patrol, assist officer calls, and the classic foot pursuit the FreeMic never failed me. This product is FLAWLESS. I was recently detailed to the Essex/Union Auto Theft Task Force, which is a multi-jurisdictional Task Force with both Essex and Union Counties in New Jersey. Our main objective is to combat auto theft. While in this tactical unit I was in multiple foot pursuits, of fleeing car theft suspects. I found that having the FreeMic 200 not only enhanced my safety, but it also allowed me to move more freely when jumping fences, and controlling combative suspects. The sound quality and reliability are unsurpassed. I highly recommend every law enforcement officer should have this product of break through technology. FreeLinc has truly developed products with the Public Safety professional in mind. Take it from me, I have been in Law Enforcement a total of 18 years. I started as a Armed Security Officer in 1989, and then transitioned into a full time Police Officer. I have used almost every two way radio manufactured working for various security companies. I can only wish this product was available back then. This product also aided in my popularity, every time I enter a room someone has to ask "Where did you get that? Your Wireless, WOW!!" I am COMPLETELY SATISFIED."

"Just wanted to let you know I've been using my FreeLinc FreeMic system for several weeks and have been very pleased with its performance. There has been one downside, however, some of the guys I work with saw how well it works and have referred to me in rather unflattering terms since they don't have one too. One of our resident electronics "experts" who predicted I would be sending it back ASAP has also been impressed with its performance, especially since he is in a position to hear my radio traffic on a regular basis."

"As a thirty-one year veteran of law enforcement, I have seen companies and technologies come and go. The one defining factor in the success of the product is not just the product itself, but the quality of the customer service accompanying the product.

"I became a FreeLinc customer after reading an ad in a law enforcement magazine. I visited your web site and contacted my regional sales rep, Dewey Garner. Dewey spent time on the telephone with me, explaining and exhorting your wireless products. He sold me on the products, hands down. I have now tried both the FreeMotion and the FreeMic.

"Yesterday my adapter failed. That happens, especially with police products and new technology. I have learned over the years that sometimes a mechanical problem should be expected. What I did not expect was the quick and professional response of Scott in your service department and Dewey. After trying to reset the adaptor, Scott told me that he would contact me after checking into a couple of issues. He also said he would let Dewey know what was happening. Not being a believer, I called Dewey. He told me that not only had he talked to Scott, but that I would be receiving another adapter, overnight. All I can say is WOW! I'm impressed.

"The products speak for themselves. The quality and freedom they offer is unsurpassed. My dispatchers wanted to know what I was doing different after I started using my FreeLinc hookup because my voice sounder better, clearer, and easier to understand, especially when I was standing on the street. I am as equally impressed with the ease of use and pairing as I am with quality of the mike, headset, and adapter.

"You should be very proud of your staff and the service they are offering to the law enforcement community. I am not sure which makes me happier, the FreeLinc product or the company representatives. Either way, I am a FreeLinc customer for life."

"More and more peace officers are struggling with the technical demands of cordless communication while working their normal duties. Different types of communication dates back to the earlier half of the twentieth century and they are woefully behind when it comes to providing the kind of support that is now expected and required by law enforcement personnel. Organizations have now discovered that cordless radio microphone systems are available. Cordless radio microphone have thrived for one important reason: eliminating the microphone cable connections giving officers more flexibility and mobility in their jobs.

Choosing a wireless microphone system is really a series of choices relating to the individual components (input device, transmitter, and receiver) that make up the system, and their suitability for your specific application. I'm using a device which covers all expectation required by law enforcement.

I'm employed with Midland County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division and have the best cordless microphone available. Approximately two years prior, we received a Free Mic 200 - Cordless Speaker Microphone from Freelinc for our two-way radios. Since being issued this piece of equipment, I have experienced extreme delight and satisfaction with this product. Not having a cord, from your two-way radio and microphone, has allowed easier movement and freedom with every day duties. I worked every shift while using the Freelinc system and never encountered any problems. The clarity and functions have been essential with my job. Freelinc has designed a microphone which is rugged and durable for every day activities. The system has been put through a strenuous test during the time Free Mic 200 was issued.

In my past experiences, during an arrest with an intoxicated individual, a fight erupted. During the fight, the subject grabbed my old microphone cord and attempted to use it against me. If I had the Free Mic 200 from Freeling, this would have not been an issue."

"On 03-04-2007 I received the cordless FreeLinc Microphone for Trial and Evaluation. The first thing I immediately noticed is the light weight and good ergonomics such as where the PTT button is located and the volume controls. The mic also has a standard earphone plug on the top so that it can easily be used in extremely noisy environments or during meetings. I then took the radio out to the north end of town and while it did not allow for a signal in places where no signal was present before (Paces River Apts) it did make the difference in the areas where previously I could get a signal by taking the radio out of the holder such as SC161 and Riverview Rd. In these locations the handheld worked from the holster. The only reason I can find for this is that maybe by not having a cord touching the antenna all or the signal was transmitted and not lost in contact with the microphone cord. I see this additional coverage while in the holster to be a tremendous safety advantage. An additional safety feature is that the officer can activate the PTT button on the radio that will activate the microphone. This allows the officer to more discreetly activate the radio and communicate in a move covert manor. This also will allow officers to communicate without raising their arm (like you would with corded mic or no mic) which can be a safety issue. I compared this to the corded mic with an antenna and the corded mic without the antenna. The range is similar to the corded with the antenna but without the aggravation of the antenna and the straight cord which is more easily caught on items and the corded without the antenna has a cord that you have to deal with and the range of the radio is diminished significantly. In short I would prefer the FreeLinc Microphone over all of the current options. In fact I would like to keep this one but if that is not a possibility who do you want me to pass it to next. Do you have the information where individual could purchase this mic? If you have any further questions please let me know."

"I have had my mic for approximately 8 months. I was the first officer with my department to test the mic. I was unfortunate to be in three foot pursuits while testing the mic. I was very impressed with my new mic !!! With the old mic (the cord) always came loose from my uniform and fell to the ground leaving me unable to transmit to my dispatch. With my FreeLinc mic I was able to transmit and the mic held to me and my uniform like a champ. I think the FreeLinc mic is a very valuable tool for law enforcement. The mic is definitely made for officer safety and is very officer friendly. I expect to see great things from FreeLinc. After testing the mic midland county sheriffs' office purchased a mic for each patrol man and the midland county swat team. "I just finished an evaluation of your FreeLinc wireless microphone for our department and was very impressed to say the least. Officer safety is detrimental to this profession and just the thought of not having to worry about a suspect grabbing the antenna and pulling you to the ground is a selling point for me. The wireless mic is simple to use and had no problem getting out in areas where our cabled or coiled microphones were unable to transmit. The wireless mic solves the problem of your body shielding the antenna allowing your radio transmissions to be free of interference even when standing on the interstate while conducting traffic stops. The equipment is simple to use and easy to setup. Thanks again for providing equipment and support to the law enforcement profession."

"I am a Paradise Valley Motor Officer and was assigned to the Presidential detail a few weeks ago during President Bush's visit to our town. Most of our team was equipped with the FreeMic 200 cordless microphone with earpieces which came in really handy since we were dealing with several protesters who stated they were going to charge the motorcade when the President left the resort. The staff was able to pass valuable information onto all officers dealing with the protesters without them knowing we were receiving this important information. We didn't need to brief each officer one at a time taking them away from the front line with the protesters. All received the same information at the same time. Needless to say the protesters did not charge the motorcade since we were ready for them.
